Saft SPL+ Ni-Cd batteries are designed to guarantee the complete reliability of signaling and railroad system communication. These nickel batteries offer an ultra-low maintenance solution to power trackside signals, flashers, switches, communications and other equipment over long discharge periods.

Technical Specifications
- Capacity range: 80 Ah to 510 Ah (C5 rate)
- Operation in ambient temperatures from + 40°C to - 30°C, with extremes from + 55°C to - 40°C
- Long life time of over 20 years
- Cell construction based on Saft’s proven nickel battery pocket plate technology
- Cell containers are polypropylene with visible electrolyte levels
- Cell weight with electrolyte doesn’t exceed the standard weight limit of 23 kg (55.5 lbs)
- Equipped with flame arresting vents - Cells can be supplied with their own battery crates
- Wide range of racking options - Cells can be stored filled with electrolyte and charged for up to two years
