Pierre-André Nutte has recently taken on the role of Sales Director for Rail & Mobility, Asia Pacific, based in Hong Kong.
Having started his career in the semi-conductor industry with RIBER SA, Pierre-André joined Saft in 2005 as a product and marketing manager for railway. This gave him lots of experience in the railway business – he spent time undertaking market research and working closely with salespeople to understand the detailed requirements of customers. He also had the opportunity to work with our factories in Bordeaux, Valdese, and Raskovice. Many of the relationships and connections Pierre-André built in these early days are still important to the work he does today.
His next move was to a pure sales role within Saft, looking after the rail operator SNCF in France. He also had responsibility for supporting Bombardier as an OEM customer – giving him a broad overview of customer requirements from every perspective. From there he moved into another sales role as Key Account Manager which added extensive international exposure to his existing experience.
Pierre-André is thoroughly enjoying his experience in Asia and sees a lot of opportunity to build on the tremendous momentum already underway in the region. The pace of development is almost unmatched anywhere in the world, and there are exciting developments underway, particularly in the rail sector. Pierre-André is confident that Saft’s extensive experience in the sector, combining the highest quality products with personalised service and continuous innovation will continue to stand the company in good stead.
When he is not working, he and his family try to take advantage of the many wonderful experiences on offer – from hiking in the nearby mountains to trying out the local Dim Sum!
Having completed his undergraduate degree in engineering at the Ecole Nationale d’Ingenieurs de Metz, he undertook an MBA at IAE de Paris. He has subsequently secured Executive MBA certificates from Cornell University, ESCP Europe and Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
