Maria Letizia Verna is an Executive Assistant at Saft’s Italian subsidiary in Milan. She is the link between external consultants and Saft’s Italian management and her job covers all office administrative activities. Her responsibilities include dealing with suppliers, financial control, sales support, quality management, safety, human resources and communications.
Maria Letizia likes the variety of her activities; she is never bored. She works on several projects at a time. In 2015, she started to work on the ISO qualification process, from data collection through internal and final audit and up to the certification. She successfully completed the project and became a quality manager.
Maria Letizia joined Saft in 2001 as a commercial assistant, after having worked as a sales assistant for France and Northern Italy in another company. Her French and English languages skills were a fitting combination for someone with a background in oriental modern foreign languages from the University of Turin. After a few years, she was promoted to her current position. She likes to coordinate projects and to be in contact with different people, which enables her to learn new things all the time.
She enjoys the international aspect of her job – being in contact with her colleagues worldwide. To work at Saft, in an innovative and developing environment, she recommends you should be up-to-date, flexible and smart, but above all to love your work.
Outside of work, she likes open-air activities like walking and jogging. As an Italian, she considers it her duty to know her country’s artistic heritage. To share that knowledge, she is a voluntary tourist guide for Usmate Velate - a village near Milan, where she loves to show people its hidden artistic beauties.
