We energize the world
Contact usThe journey to finding the right battery for your LoRaWAN device doesn’t come easy. In the same way as a mountain climbing expedition can turn into a drama if you’re not well prepared, choosing the wrong battery can turn your IoT project into a nightmare.
In order to succeed, you’ll need to ask the right questions, take into account the right parameters, find the right partners and the right tools to help you, and ultimately, select the right chemistry to offer your device the longest possible life expectation in the field.
In our opening keynote during The Things Virtual Conference, Cécile Joannin, Metering & IoT Market & Product Manager and Isabelle Sourmey, Application Engineer, assumed the role of hiking guides —for the battery part— and shared some relevant tools and information to climb safely.
If you missed the big reveal, watch this video catch-up of their contribution. You’ll learn about the challenges they’ve identified, the way they conquered them, and the methodology that empowered Saft’s clients to reach the top of the mountain and find the right battery for their IoT device.
We have also summarized this process in the infography below.
The summit of Everest is now at your fingertips!
But wait! That’s not all! As part of The virtual Things Conference, we have also been teaming up with Qoitech to prepare a workshop "Selecting the right power source for your LoRa node in 3 steps".
To celebrate this occasion, we’ll be launching a competition. If you participate in the quiz which will test your knowledge on "How to select the right power source for your #LoRa node", you could win a one-on-one session with one of our Application Engineers!
The workshop will take place on January 28 at 11am CET so make sure you don't miss it and stay tuned for more information!
