Sizing software for Rail & mass transit applications
A nickel-cadmium battery offers inherently exceptional performance. But in order to obtain optimum performance from the battery, it must be correctly sized for the particular application.
Sizing criteria
To correctly size your battery, you should take into account the following factors:
The maximum charge voltage and the minimum discharge voltage acceptable at the equipment terminals and the tolerance.
The discharge profile in watts, amps or resistance and its duration.
The battery operating temperature.
Factors contributing to aging.
Please contact your nearest Saft contact, who will help you quickly find the right battery for your rail application. They will size your battery using our sizing software.
