Lithium-ion (Li-ion) : MP cell range

Rechargeable battery

Saft MP prismatic rechargeable cells are based on lithium-ion chemistry. In addition to unrivalled nominal capacities, and long cycle-life, their most innovative feature is the capability to be charged and discharged over a wide temperature range, especially at low temperatures.

The MP cells feature various redundant safety features (electronic protection circuit, built-in circuit breaker in case of a charger fault, safety valve, shut down separator) which makes them ideal for demanding applications (military, medical, etc.).

Battery assemblies

To maximize performance and ensure total safety, Saft and its certified pack makers integrate MP cells into battery assemblies designed to the specific requirements of each application.

Construction features

  • stainless steel or aluminium container
  • hermetic and sturdy glass-to-metal sealing
  • built-in circuit breaker and safety vent
