Data sheet
Saft VLE rechargeable lithium-ion (Li-ion) cells are ideal for any regularly cycling charge/discharge application that requires a battery with a significantly reduced weight and volume.
The VLE range includes five cells – VL45E (45 Ah) & VL52E (52 Ah) – to cover a spread of sizes and capacities. They are supplied in battery modules or as part of a fully integrated customised battery system.
System approach
To maximize performance and ensure total safety, Saft integrates individual Li-ion cells both mechanically and electrically into battery systems that are designed to the specific needs of each application. These battery systems incorporate electronics for the control and monitoring of performance, thermal and safety management.
Main applications
underwater vehicles
military electric and hybrid vehicles
telecommunication networks
distributed power sources for new battleships
stationary UPS
PV (photovoltaic) and other RES (Renewable Energy Systems)
UGV (Unmanned Ground Vehicle)
Any high energy storage devices
Benefits
very high specific energy
maintenance-free
