On-board battery systems are essential to smooth, efficient operation and passenger safety on today’s rapid mass transit systems and metros. Total reliability of back-up power systems is crucial in the event of mains power failure.
The battery must provide at least 1 hour of power to maintain operation of:
- air conditioning
- computer systems
- door controlscommunications
