The Saft LSX cylindrical primary lithium cells are based on Lithium-Thionyl chloride (Li-SOCl2) chemistry.

They feature coiled electrodes for optimised voltage response under pulses. They are designed specifically for long-term applications featuring few µA base currents and periodic pulses typically in the 20-200 mA range.
