Missiles

Saft batteries are deployed in tactical, strategic and ballistic missiles, as well as in Flight Termination Systems (FTS), telemetry and guidance and control systems. These demanding applications rely on our primary batteries to deliver high power levels, while surviving extreme conditions - high temperatures, short operational life, long periods of storage and high levels of vibration.

Saft batteries for missiles include rechargeable lithium-ion (Li-ion) and nickel cadmium (Ni-Cd) and primary silver zinc (Ag-Zn) technologies. We also offer thermal batteries for missiles through our joint venture with EADS and the ASB Group.
