 Battery design
Saft battery design is tailored to specific requirements. The material used, the choice of electro-chemical couple, battery shape and dimensions are all conceived with the framework of meeting a precise need.
Every Saft battery is clearly identified and labelled with instructions for use and safe disposal. Where possible recessed contacts ensure that there is no risk of short circuit at the end of the battery life.
Production facilities
Saft production facilities are equipped to respect strict environmental norms in relation to the atmosphere, ground and water. Energy consumption and acoustic levels are held within defined limits, while any waste products are carefully controlled and kept to an absolute minimum. All Saft sites have adopted an environmental management system regularly improved since 1992 and in line with the ISO 14001 standard since 1996
